Power of Now

Notes on: ‘The Power of Now’

The Power of Now opens up your mind to a far deeper understanding of living in the
Present Moment. I am a film Actor and my training stems from being ‘in the moment’
– creativity comes from stillness, which is where everything is created from – it is this
void, this vacuum of ‘nothing’, this state, where everything is derived – it is the core
of the Universe and ultimate presence and consciousness. Fear is what stops many
people from living up to their full potential. Many people are scared of others
that they don’t understand and ways of acting that they don’t relate to…but we need to open
up our minds and realise that we are capable of doing anything.
I like the proverb of Muhatama Ghandi, which sums up what I am saying, states:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are
powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us
most. We ask ourselves “Who am I to be brilliant, talented and well known?”.
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of Gold. Your playing small does
not serve the World. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that
people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God
that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in all of us. And when we let our
own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates
others.

Create ‘No Ego’

Think of yourself as having ‘No identity’ – we are formless, infinite, endless and
can morph or merge in to anything we like. We need to remember that any
thought we have, any word we speak or any action we take is energy and has an
effect on the Universe. Positivity and Negativity bounces back at us, like the
reflection of a mirror, through the Matrix (the Universal Magnetic field of energy,
surrounding our planet). Cause and Effect is truth and this is how Karma works.
As Eckhart Tolle states in ‘The Power of Now’, ‘If you are drawn to an
enlightened person, it is because there is already enough presence in you to
recognize presence in another. There were many people who did not recognise
Jesus or the Buddha, as there are and always have been, many people who are
drawn to falsities, because they feel safer and more protected in ‘the darkness’.
Egos are drawn to bigger Egos. Darkness can only recognise dark.
Only light can recognise light. So, don’t believe that light is outside you or that it can only come
through one particular form – there are infinite forms – if only your master is an
incarnation of God, then who are you? Any kind of exclusivity is identification
with form, and identification with form means ego, no matter how well
disguised. Use the master’s presence to reflect your own identity beyond name -
(‘No Ego’) and form back to you and to become more intensely present yourself. You will
realize that there is no “mine” or “yours” in presence. Presence is one.
Collaboration can also be helpful for intensifying the light of your presence. A
group of people coming together in a state of presence generates a collective
energy field of great intensity and positivity. It not only raises the degree of
presence of each person in the collaboration, but also helps to free the collective
human consciousness from its current state of mind dominance. This will make
the state of presence increasingly more accessible to individuals. However,
unless at least one member of the group is already firmly established in it and
thus can hold the energy frequency of that state, the egoic mind can easily
reassert itself and sabotage the group’s endeavors. Although, collaboration is
invaluable, it is not enough, and you must not come to depend on it, as an anchor.
You need to stand alone, as well as share ideas with others – be a chameleon.’

Being is your deepest self:

As Eckhart Tolle again states in ‘The Power of Now’, ‘‘Being’ can be felt as the
ever present ‘I am’ that is beyond name and form. To feel and thus to know that
you are and to abide in that deeply rooted state is enlightenment, is the truth
that Jesus says will make you free (even if you are not at all religious, it is an
extremely important idea to feel).
“Water? What do you mean by that? I don’t understand it”. This is what a fish
would say if it had a human mind. Don’t try to understand ‘Being’. You have
already had significant glimpses of Being, but the mind will always try to squeeze
it into a little box and the put a label on it. It cannot be done. It cannot become
an object of knowledge. In Being, subject and object merge into one.’
What ever you feel on the ‘inside’ will be reflected, again, like a mirror, on the
‘outside’ in the Universe, which effects everything and everyone ‘in your World’.
You draw certain energies to you to learn certain lessons and skills for life –
these energies are testing you all the time to see how you deal with life. Life is
Sacred and should never be destroyed before it naturally dies…always
remember this. Even in your darkest hour, remember that you are experiencing
this World for a very deep reason that you should never take away, by your own
choice. We have a choice, but try to create positivity all around you, which will
have an effect on the whole Universe, wherever your energy goes.
Any word we speak or any action we take is energy and has an
effect on the Universe. Positivity and Negativity bounces back at us, like the
reflection of a mirror, through the Matrix (the Universal Magnetic field of energy,
surrounding our planet). Cause and Effect is truth and this is how Karma works.
