Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan:

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, an internationally reputed institution dedicated to the promotion of education and culture, is a charitable public trust founded by Dr. K.M. Munshi on november 7, 1938.

The founding members of the Bhavan include Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the Republic of India, Shri C. Rajagopalachari, the first indian and last Governor General of India; Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of free India; Sardar Patel , Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, several distinguished scholars, statesmen and leaders of modern Indian renaissance.

From small beginning, the Bhavan has grown into a great intellectual, cultural and educational movement with 112 Kendras in India, 8 overseas Centres (in United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Portugal, South Africa, Kuwait, Mexico and Australia) and 280 constituent institutions, besides a number of affiliated colleges.

YOGA ORIENTATION & SPIRITUAL HEALING PROGRAMME

(M.A. Yoga, Haridwar), (M.A. History, Patna University ),
Practitioner & Teacher of ‘sidddha yoga’ tradition shall conduct the Programme.
Courses Offered :
(1) Comprehensive Astanga Yoga Sessions

* Timing : 7.00 A.M. to 8.30 A.M. Twice a week (Saturdays & Sundays)
* Duration of Course : 3 Months (9th April To June 2011)
* Course Starts from : 11th December, 2010
* Course Fee : Rs. 1,500/- (paid in advance at the time of admission)

Course Content : Basic and Essential Inputs of:

1. Yamas & Niyamas (practical methodology of implementation, to be dealt with Examples & Case studies).
2. Asanas (practice of asanas keeping in view the entire rules of the original. tradition for maximum efficacy as per individual’s health and requirement.
3. Pranayamas(dealing the entire gamut-giving personal capsule individually keeping in view their ailments and requirement).
4. Pratyahara, Dharna, Dhyan and Samadhi (theory & practical methodology).

(Note):- Shatkarmas, Yogic locks and the subtleties of yogic Sadhna will thoroughly be dealt)

(2) Spiritual Healing Programme
(group as well as individual healing methodology sessions)

* Timing : 8.30 A.M. to 10.00 A.M. Twice a week (Saturdays & Sundays)
* Duration of Course : 3 Months (9th April To June 2011)
* Course Starts from : 11th December, 2010
* Course Fee : Rs. 1,500/- (paid in advance at the time of admission)

2. Spiritual healing – methods and approaches
3. Examples of spiritual healing and the extent in which it works.
